meet our instructors

We’re so excited to introduce the wonderful team who will be leading your classes and guiding your wellness journey.

Heidi Dunster

"I have over 25 years’ experience in the fitness industry both in management and teaching a variety of classes in the local area. I’m proud of my reputation and pride myself in being able to adapt exercise for those that have injuries, medical conditions or other considerations. I specialise in rehabilitation classes that improve Strength and Balance and
reduce the risk of falls and I incorporate these exercises into all of my classes.

Owning my own studio has always been a dream and now it has come true. I want this space to represent safety and calm for both the Instructors and the participants and a place you can take some time for you. I’m hoping we can become a hub for the local community by providing a place to exercise, socialise and relax."

Nicola Hoare

"I started my fitness career in 1998 as a gym instructor whilst working at Goodwood.

My love of teaching is shaped by my Mum who taught aerobics from the early 80’s and I would attend her classes. I then trained to be a Group Exercise Instructor & Personal Trainer so I could offer 1-2-1 sessions.

No two days are the same and I love to encourage and inspire clients of all ages and abilities to move in a way that makes them stay consistent and more importantly they enjoy."

"I’m a huge believer in the transformative potential of Pilates and teach classes which are inclusive, focussing on progression not perfection. My approach is relaxed yet committed and when we finish you will feel taller and mindfully rested.

My ambition is to create and help a community of like-minded people who want to improve how they feel, stay flexible, agile and strong, now and as we get older, benefitting our overall well-being. "

Mollie Gardner

" I have an extensive background in teaching with 6 seasons spent as a ski instructor and subsequent years as a personal trainer and fitness coach. This experience in other disciplines translates well into my more recent 200hr Yoga Teacher Training. I have practiced yoga myself for over 8 years, gradually developing a more holistic outlook on health and wellness.

For me teaching is about creating space for people to practice, develop and refine their personal skills with guidance but without pressure. The yoga practice is no different to any other discipline in that the most important part is showing up for yourself and listening to your body."

Lawrence Clark

"I discovered yoga at eighteen, beginning with a self-taught practice inspired by books. This interest soon deepened through Vipassana meditation, attending and assisting on retreats across the world. A first encounter with Ashtanga revealed the power of breath, focus and community in practice.

Over the years, I have trained with teachers such as John Scott, studied in India, and completed my teacher training in San Francisco. I have taught in India, America and England, drawing on each experience to bring balance and clarity to my teaching.

Now focusing on Hatha Yoga, my classes combine mindful movement, breath awareness, and steady presence. My approach encourages students to explore strength and stillness in equal measure—cultivating a grounded, centred, and sustainable practice."

Ann Gowing

"I have been a dedicated student and a teacher of Yoga and Pilates for over 25 years, with much of that time spent in Asia where I was inspired by Eastern Philosophies. I am fulfilled by inspiring and motivating others to feel better in themselves. To feel more resourced and resilient to negative stress and fully present to life - body mind and heart.  Spinal health, mindful movements and grounding practices for emotional stability are a key focus of my teachings. My teachings are authentic, appropriate for all ages and I look forward to sharing them with you  all at The Vale."

"With a strong background in Dance, I’ve always valued movement that flows with control and precision. Like dance, Pilates is thoughtfully choreographed, blending breath, technique, and seamless transitions. Practising Pilates throughout university helped me improve strength and flexibility, reducing my risk of injury during intense training. Now, as a Level 3 Mat Pilates instructor, I’m passionate about helping others move with strength, control, and awareness."

"I have  over 40 years of health and wellness experience as a Nurse, Complementary Therapist, Mindfulness Coach and Soul
Midwife.

Since undertaking a Gong Master Practitioner course with “Harmony of the Spheres” leader Sarah Gregg in 2018, further studies into the gong and other sound instruments have been with the British Association of Sound Healers, The College of Sound Healing and Silence in Sound.
I run regular sound baths and participate in sound retreats. I am dedicated to the belief that sound and specifically the sacred sound of the gongs and the voice are both healing, life enhancing and enable reconnection with ‘self’"

Hayley Cleghorn

I have been practicing yoga for twenty five years. After having an acquired a severe  head injury, yoga became the driving force of my recovery. This is the founding reason for becoming a yoga teacher, to want to pass on the knowledge and experience I have gathered from this discipline to help others to cope with mental issues that seem so prevalent in today's society.

I have lived and worked overseas and have gathered more tools within these cultures to add  to my yoga practice.

I am also an active Actress and, therefore, my style of teaching is both fun and engaging . I never forget to guide my class into the true essence of yoga (stilling the mind) and I always end with a an extended meditation/guided visualisation."

"I trained at the London Pilates Academy, completing my Mat Pilates course, and I’m now working towards my Perinatal and Reformer qualifications. I decided to become a Pilates instructor after falling in love with the practice while living in London. What I love most is that Pilates is for everyone - no matter your age or ability - and now I teach to help others experience that same love and connection."
